After getting my blue mat a little grubby underneath Helen, yesterday I bought a new black mat with strap. being tight I settled for another Reebok excercise mat. £12.99.

Yesterday, finally got the EV2 back together after drying it out and giving it the oily rag treatment. Took the opportunity to give the TX200 a wipe down too.

This morning it was out with the CZ 452 rimfire rifle for round 2 of the 2012 C.C.C.A 50m competition.

This evening it was out with the Webley Alecto pistol and MkI B.S.A Meteor for rounds 2 & 3 of the Airgun-Tec.co.uk Summer 2012 email target shooting competitions.

Went down to NSRA Aldersley today for some training with the GB junior squads - principally it was for my two kids to get some tuition. They certainly enjoyed the pistol shooting, even managing to put 5 out of 5 in the black at 10 m. I managed to have some practice too - did not realise it has been 18 months since I shot 

I managed a few 43's and even a 45x50 with the pistol - well pleased

We then moved onto the 22 rimmies - they are noisy, banging smoky things indeed 

Although the guns were not set up for any of us, we managed to score 92x100 at the 25 yard ranges

You were right what you said Chris, that the triggers are a bit agricultural, but we had great fun anyhow - the good news is that the kids want to go again, and they ar ehoping to have a go in the nationals in October at Bisley - great news.

My Daughter has had a few goes at archery, and seems to have a good eye for that, so looks like we may be starting that too

Quality ammo' makes a difference. The shorter the barrel the louder too. Add to that if the ammo's supersonic it'll be louder still. This aint the bang of the cartridge, but the head going through the sound barrier.

Completed it last night. It's supposed to have a self regulating valve of some description, whatever that is. The figures ain't bad at all, but my gut feeling, although I haven't compared them yet, is that a standard S400 carbine is a little better. Still, time will tell, once I go through all the figures and compare them against the S400 Carbine, which is a similar rifle, and the best of all, the MPR FT. No rifle has ever beat that one yet though.

This morning I took my 3ltr cylinder to be topped up. Only about 5 weeks ticket on this, so I took my 12ltr for testing at the same time so I will have at least one to use whilst the other is being tested. Hope it doesn't go pop or is rusty inside. It's a year since I've used it as it needed a test back then.
