SHOOTING WISE, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TODAY?

Went to the club I've just joined and gave my CZ 452 rimfire another run out at 50m.

Had a go at the re-scheduled Xmas competiton whilst I was there, which was a sort of dart board target. You were allowed 10 shots at the target, with the highest scores winning such prizes as chocolates and bottles of booze etc.

I took my first two shots, which, if I recall correctly were in the "5", then I thought I was shooting the target of the next bloke to my left, so I corrected where I was aiming and proceded to put eight shots in the target of the bloke to my right .

I was in fact shooting at the correct target to start with  .

I returned home and after dinner and a bit of a doss I gave the CZ a bit of tlc.

To be fair, if that's the word, the targets were close together, but the shooters were almost shoulder to shoulder.

That's my first two excuses .

Today I didn't do any shooting; I just took some spray paint along to the FT club to paint the knock-downs. The monsoon folowed me there; they were so pleased to see me

Bought a staple gun for fixing targets to the target boards at the new club I've joined.

Printed out my round 4 targets and stuck them onto cardboard ready to shoot

Just come back from Aldersley. Managed to do my round 4 10m air rifle target, but the 6 yard range was in use so I couldn't do my pistol target. I did do some practice at 10m, but I've shot much better with it than I did tonight.

I was waiting like a lemon in the shop for nearly 15 minuets waiting for the two chaps who run it to stop gassing, even though they had seen me waiting to pay . I nearly walked out!

Price is going up on February 01st to £7. I was initially told £8, which would have been the end of me going there, but I was later told that it would be £8 for such folk as scouts and the like.

Another trip out to Stourport on Severn Pistol and Rifle Club with the CZ at 50m. Frosty, but very still day. Just right for zeroing.
